Network inference and causal modeling of high-throughput omics data

Molecular networks describe relationships between e.g. RNAs or proteins. Progress has already been made in methods for estimating such networks. However, central questions still remain open, such as upscaling to higher dimensions, dealing with heterogeneity and extending to causal predictions. We will pursue these general goals in the context of bulk and single cell RNA-seq and investigate different types of biological prior knowledge.
